Surf to Turf

Surf to Turf 

Last Wednesday we did surf to turf, surf to turf is a organised event done by our school. 

We ran from the Wiamak river to our school 5.1k, This was very fun and at the end of the race we did activity's like tyer flipping, sit up challenge, chicken net crawl and plank challenge.

Then we got a special ice block treat and hot dogs. :)

At school we have been doing art for a exhibition In our class we did eyeballs but in the iris we drew our futer i drew a mountain and a and a blossom tree because I want to live in the mountains when im older with a beautiful view.

This term we are reading 3 brothers and the polar bear, we had to do a story map explaining what that story said I really liked making it.

The invisible Man

Everyday he had lived out his normal life, get up, have breakfast, have a shower and get dressed but today was different. He went to spoonful the pasty white goo of porridge into his mouth, but then he stopped and dropped his spoon on the the floor it clanged loudly, he grasped his chest and pain and fell onto the floor his mouth went dry, his lungs burst out in thumping pain like two over filled balloons, his arms went numb and lifeless he scurried to the mirror he knew this was happening but not this soon he needed to find her. He grabbed a hammer and smashed the glass box labeled just in case early, from there he grabbed a backpack filled with canned food, canned water and a canned torch he headed for the door. goodbye old life.

Slushies

On Thursday Jemma and I made Moroccan mint slushies for my inquiry. They were really good and we loved them, maybe try it with your family in the holidays. photos coming soon.

DLO week 10

This is my week ten DLO of what the pig hospital looks like.

Week 9 DLO

The right side of your heart receives oxygen poor blood from your veins and pumps it to your lungs, where it picks up oxygen and dumps off the carbon dioxide. The left side of your heart gets oxygen rich blood from your lungs and pumps it through your arteries to the rest of your body.

DLO of Pig heart boy

This is my DLO of the first two chapters of pig heart boy

Cam is a boy who has heart problems. He wishes he could be normal and do normal things, like swimming and holding his breath underwater, all his other friends go swimming and have a good time but he can't because he can’t hold his breath underwater for longer than a few seconds. He lies to his parents by going to the swimming pool with his friends instead of being at his friends house and his friend Marlon worries about him a lot. Marlon has dark green eyes and is a bit annoying sometimes Cam gets frustrated with him because he worries too much.

Bonfire

Yesterday we had a bonfire at my auntys house it was really cool and fun. Me and my cousins sat outside in the dark and took heaps of photos and some of them looked like faces here are some.

Nelson

Yesterday I went to Nelson with my Nan and my Nan's friend, it was really fun because we did so much shopping. We went to Kmart, The warehouse and the mall I bought a giraffe plant and some presents for my friends. After that we went to MacDonalds and drove past my old house and the drove home.  

Gibsons Beach

On Wednesday I went to Gibsons beach, it was so beautiful there,  There are a lot of waterfalls, the stones that have been brushed by the water so much the make a cool looking pathway. One of things you can do there is find a lot of crystals and greenstone, I found a rose quarts and a smokey quarts I did not find any greenstone though. We took my crystals to our next door neighbor who used to find gold so he told me about all the stones I found.

My cousin

Last night my cousin cam for a sleepover at my Nans house, she is only 2 so she had to go to bed early but she didn't want to . We had meatloaf for diner with mash potato,carrots and silver beet. Then for desert we had pineapple lump ice cream in a cone and watched frozen 2.    

Gibbys Cafe

Today me and my Nan went to Gibbys cafe, we go there everyday and I get a drink and my Nan gets a coffee. Today not many people were there witch was good because we could sit somewhere and not be 2 meters apart, we got a scone aswell. sorry no photos there will be some tomorrow :)
